Esme Valverde began recording her own demos on a borrowed SM58 in a closet in 2011 and never really stopped. She self-engineered three EPs that landed independent placements, then started consulting for other bedroom artists. Today she splits her time between session work and writing about the unglamorous reality of getting a great vocal in a room that wasn't designed for it.
Her philosophy: 90% of bad home vocals are fixable before the singer ever opens their mouth, and the gear matters far less than people on forums want it to.
